Kevin Olekaibe scored just seven points in the Bulldogs' 65-46 loss on Saturday to Cal Poly, hitting only 3 of 13 shots including 1 of 9 behind the 3-point line.
He had come in averaging 19.8 points per game, but also was less than 100 percent.
Olekaibe suffered an ankle injury in Fresno State's loss at Oregon on Dec. 10, in which he played only 18 minutes and scored four points. Because of finals, the Bulldogs limited practice during the week and the sophomore guard was able to participate only once, on Friday.
The seven points were the fewest he had scored in a game in which he played at least 20 minutes since scoring six in a victory over UC Riverside on Feb. 19, 2011.
