** OK, since you're asking -- the biggies: Clovis West vs. Buchanan is Oct. 23 and Edison vs. Bullard Nov. 6 at Chukchansi Park.
** What a shame it would be if a Bullard-Buchanan D-I championship were played at Chukchansi -- a cherry baseball stadium but a real lemon for football. Chukchansi is Bullard's designated home stadium, but if the Knights reach the title game top seeded, please play it elsewhere.
** Speaking of Bullard: A bye date this timely, given recent red-face news involving coach Donnie Arax. To follow will be games CMAC games against Clovis North, Reedley and a down Sanger, effectively allowing the Knights a month to prepare for Edison.
** I guess we still don't have a true read on Clovis West, though the fact the Eagles nearly beat Bullard with all their instability at QB bodes very well, long range. I can't begin to guess the outcome of tonight's game with Edison. All we know for sure is CW running back Kendall Brock is one bad dude.
** El Diamante gets blasted tonight at Paso Robles, but the Miners still walk through the WYL.
** Bray (Kingsburg), Taubler (Bullard) or Orender (Buchanan) for Bee All-Star QB in December? Yikes! But, of course, one could very well be Player of the Year.
