Fresno State, the two-time defending WAC women's basketball champion, was picked to finish first again this year by the conference coaches.

The Bulldogs received five of the nine first-place votes in the preseason poll released today. Louisiana Tech was second, but the favorite over Fresno State in the media poll.
Guard Jaleesa Ross was named to the all-WAC preseason first team and forward Haley Munro made the second team in both polls.

WAC coaches picked Fresno State's men to finish sixth and the media had the Bulldogs seventh. Guard Paul George and forward Sylvester Seay were all-WAC preseason second-team picks in both polls.
