This is one of those Hall of Famers -- Tim Simons vs. Pat Plummer at Sunnyside Stadium.

Simons, in his first season as Clovis North's varsity coach, has won 226 games in a 26-year career. That 218 victories and five Central Section titles in 24 years at Clovis.

Plummer has won 175 games in 31 seasons -- eight at Tulare Western and 23 at Hoover, which is tied, 7-7, with Clovis North in the second quarter.

Plummer says he'll retire after next season, allowing him to watch his son, Shawn, for his senior football season at Fresno State in 2011.
