Clovis West volleyball player Melody Mandelbaum achieved a unique career milestone last weekend when she surpassed 3,400 assists and 800 digs as the Golden Eagles finished second in the Silver Division at the California Classic in Torrey Pines.

The senior setter holds the school record in both categories.

Mandelbaum has only missed starting in three matches during her four-year varsity career. She has already give an oral commitment to Tulane.

Mandelbaum and the second-ranked Golden Eagles are in action Thursday at Central in a Tri-River Athletic Conference match.
