Messed up and gave 'em confidence

The Spartans lead 14-7 with 2:06 left in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs have helped them mightily by giving them a penality for a first down, a fumble ... and confidence.

Ryan Mathews has been a wrecking ball, stiff arming everything in his way. When he's in the game, that is. He didn't get many handoffs on the first drive. Instead, Lonyae Miller and Robbie Rouse saw early action.

That drew some questions from the box.
