Mathews a victim of Heisman history

For all those crazy enough to entertain the thought that Ryan Mathews should be included in the discussion about the Heisman Trophy, I remind you that the great David Carr was the NFL's No. 1 draft choice in 2001 didn't even get an invitation to the Big Apple for the Heisman ceremony.

Well, with attitudes like that and people willing to sit around and let history repeat itself, then it certainly will.
I don't see how that makes Ryan Mathews a "victim" though. I'd have titled it as "The Heisman a Victim to it's own History".

I didn't even think David Carr was the best player on that team.
