Tulare, playing on a Thursday night -- and for first place in the East Yosemite League, to boot -- has given me an opportunity to get out of Fresno County and see a team that has gone 32-1 in three seasons.
Leading Porterville 42-14 in the third quarter, yes, the Redskins and all that major-college firepower have been impressive. Still, it's difficult to get a true read on H-back Edward Dillihunt (committed to Fresno State) and receiver Marquess Wilson (committed to Washington State) because they so easily elude Panthers defenders. I mean, it's been like practicing against the bags.
What's not hard to read is the Redskins' rushing defense, which has been shredded by 213 yards on 20 carries by David Ali. And that doesn't bode well for the D-II playoffs.
