Bray leads Kingsburg to halftime lead

Editor's note -- Reporter Nick Giannandrea is having mechanical issues in the field, but filed this update:

Kingsburg High's Tyler Bray showed again why he's headed to play college football at Tennessee of the powerful Southeastern Conference.

The senior quarterback calmly and cooly marched the Vikings 72 yards in seven plays in the final 1:18 of the first half to give Kingsburg a 7-0 lead over Dinuba in tonight's Central Sequoia League showdown.

Bray helped the Vikings reach Dinuba territory on their first three possessions but each one failed to produce points as they missed a field goal, had an incomplete pass on fourth down and a punt.

But on its final possession of the first half, Bray hit Michael Torres for 14 yards on first down. Bray connected with Torres again for 18 yards before going on an 8-yard option run. Then came a 20-yard strike to Trenten Davis before the capper, a 12-yard laser to Torres.
