This is the weekend that will decide if Boise State has a chance at the national title game. And now that you mention it, the same could be said for TCU.
The Broncos' fate is the most at stake this weekend, though, and any shot at making the BCS title game will depend on Oregon beating USC. If the Trojans beat the Ducks in Eugene, then that's all the ammo voters will need to keep USC ahead of Boise State, even with a loss, and it also weakens Boise State's strength of schedule for the computer polls. If the Trojans blow out the Ducks, it would be devastating for the Broncos.
So much will be decided this weekend. Texas has a huge game against Oklahoma State. If both USC and Texas lose, look out, Boise State or TCU really might have a shot at the title game. OK, here's the quick breakdown: No. 1 and No. 2 are Alabama and Florida, and one is guaranteed a loss because they'll likely play each other in the SEC title game. Frankly, neither has looked unbeatable the last couple games and both have tough games coming up, especially the Tide, who play LSU and then in-state rival Auburn. That game is a coin flip no matter how bad or good either team is.
Iowa is going to lose. That's all there is to it. It's just not that good. Cincinnati still has two tough games left. All I'm saying is, it's possible. And if Oregon beats USC, it really does boost the Broncos. Yes, it would also push Oregon further up the Top 10, but would voters really put Oregon ahead of a non-BCS team that beat the Ducks head-to-head. They'd probably like to, but it would put them in an embarrassing light if they did.
