Illinois starting linebacker Martez Wilson will miss the rest of the season with a neck injury.

Illinois coach Ron Zook told the AP that Wilson, a junior, will have surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck.

Fresno State (1-1) visits the Big Ten school in its regular-season finale on Dec. 5

The Illini (1-1) are idle this weekend.
