Some guys just don't know when to quit, like Brett Favre. I admire the guy, but come on, either retire or play.

Favre acknowledges that "time is running short" on making another comeback. Report is that he will give the Vikings an answer on whether he'll play by the July 30 start of training camp. Read the Click to read story story here


NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Jeremy Mayfield has again tested positive for methamphetamine and series officials want his ban reinstated. NASCAR says in its filings that the "A" sample had levels of methamphetamine consistent with habitual users who consume high doses. Yikes! Read the Click to read story story here


The American League continues to take it to the National League - the AL is 12-0-1 in the last 13 all-star games. What gets me though, the players are rotated in and out so much that a guy that has one hit and makes a great catch ends up being the game's MVP. Taking nothing away from Carl Crawford of the Rays, but you would think a player could stand out a little more and be a clear-cut MVP. And Jonathan Papelbon almost gives up two homeruns, but ends up the winning pitcher. Just seems strange to me. Read the Click to read story story here


Lance Armstrong is hanging tough in the Tour de France, but I think his run of event wins is over. Armstrong is currently 3rd after 11 stages and only 8 seconds back of race leader Rinaldo Nocentini of Italy. I just don't know if Armstrong can top some of the current contenders.
