This week, June 6-14, is National Fishing and Boating week. For some of you, that may be every week. But in the theme of promoting the "Take Me Fishing" campaign, I'd like to ask readers out there if they do anything special for a friend or family member during this time.

California seems to miss the boat a little by having the state's free fishing days on July 4 and Sept. 7 - it would be nice if one of those days were this week. What do you think about that?
