A little help, please

I'm thinking about writing a story about the great tradition of athletes signing autographs for fans. It was a big deal when I was a kid. I remember takiing my autograph book to baseball games and hanging around to catch a few players. I know it's become big business for a lot of collectors, but watching the kids at Chukchansi Park asking for autographs, and the players obliging nicely, brought back a lot of memories.

I'd like for our readers to e-mail me and hear about getting their first autographs. What it meant to them. If they still have them. Do they still look at athletes as heroes? I want to attend a few Grizzlies games and get an up close look at the process now. Anyway, any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks.
