Somebody tell me. What's going on with college basketball officials.
Last night I watched that six-overtime Syracuse-UConn game, which was fabulous by the way, and couldn't believe how much stuff the refs let the players get away with.
UConn center Hasheem Thabeet literally threw an Orange player to the floor and didn't get called. Syracuse's big man got the ball low then three times bumped his defender toward the basket and scored -- picking up a foul for a three-point play.
Since when did college ball turn into the NBA? And the traveling? I always thought the rule was 1 1/2 steps. These guys are taking three, a lot of times four steps making their moves and never get called. It's sickening to watch sometimes.
Let us know what you think and what can be done about it.
