Mountain biking the Pa'San Ridge Trail

The foothills are green, the flowers are starting to bloom and local mountain bike trails are holding just enough moisture for some pristine sticky conditions -- especially at lower-elevation trails such as the Pa'San Ridge Trail at the San Joaquin River Gorge Management Area west of Auberry.

Here's a video taken Saturday by Fresno rider Troy Hagopian with a helmet camera as he tracks lead rider Craig Morrison as they bomb the 4-mile eastern descent from the top of the ridge to the bridge in less than 10 minutes:

Enjoy the ride!

You guys are S.T.U.D.S!

Nice work Troy and Craig. Where was I?

Is this trail open to just mountain bikes or are there hikers and horses on this trails?

Everything in the San Joaquin River Gorge Management Area is all-access, meaning trails are open to hikers, mountain bikers and horses. You may even see some cows.

10minutes? Was your grandma on her wheelchair pacing you?

That was some spry grandma.
