'Dogs vs. TCU

Fresno State can make a statement on the women's basketball landscape by beating No. 22 Texas Christian Thursday at the Save Mart Center.
To do that, the Bulldogs needed to rediscover their 3-point shooting touch. They made only 5 in each game against Charlotte and Sam Houston State last weekend -- losing the first by one point and winning the second.

The Bulldogs rank No. 2 in the national in 3-pointers made (9.8) per game. That tells you something about this team. The long distance shots help make up for weaknesses on defense and penchant for turnovers.
Coach Adrian Wiggins' bigger concern right now is his team's defense. He's still looking for a stopper to cover opponents' best guard. Last season it was Tierre Wilson. The three he's deciding about are LaShay Fears, Marnique Arnold and Jaleesa Ross. Arnold appears the more athletic enough for the job, a role she said she wants and is working hard on.
