They are bowl eligible!!! Bottom line. They may have not had the season we were all hoping for but fact of the matter is they played well enough for a bowl game and deserve an invite somewhere.

You are entitled to your opinion, but last time I checked there was no clause that says the 7 wins must be over opponents who have records deserving of a bowl. But maybe you have some sort of insider information????? According to bowl elgibility requirements, with the 7 WINS taht we have we are bowl elgible. And yes we are 5th in WAC and thats why we will be placed in the worst bowl of them all, which is deservingly so against a team who we probably have a chance to beat ceause with 6 wins they arent deserving of a bowl either. It will be the match-up of non deserving bowl teams who somehow made it into a bowl game, right?

And though we were hammered bad on Firday, I really dont think TB was the player at fault. He made numerous throws to recievers that drop the ball and yes he did make a few mistakes but that wasnt the reason we lost the game. He is deserving of Team MVP as voted by the PLAYERS. He is one of the toughest guys around. He will never get his due.

The question you're asking is; "are we in the top 64 teams in the nation"? If we are in the top 64 then 64 is our magic number and my lotto numbers this week. I could easily see us losing to anyone in the top 100 especially if their quarterback has two legs and knows the difference between North and South.
I just cannont believe that anyone would pay good money to see our lack quality of a team play.
I would probably watch the game on TV just see Pat Hill suck on mustache and yell at the refs not that I have anyother choice with him. Now isn't that a plesant thought at Christmas time?
The bottom line is any bowl that involes teams ranked (honestly) over 30 to 35 is an absolute Joke!!

Accordingly bowl game invitations are factors of whatever contractual arrangements in existence between the various leagues and bowl promoters; and the ability of the team to draw fans to the bowl game venue as well as the number and demographics of television viewers that watch the advertisements during the bowl game television broadcast.

Fresno State has a right to be in a Bowl just like the
other teams that made it. After all you still have to win
a certain amount of games to be in a Bowl. It does not
matter if you win by 1pt.or 50pts.you still have to Win.
Fresno State was the only Wac team that Won their Bowl
last year.Boise,Nevada,and Hawaii all lost their Bowls.
You must remember a lot of their key players were playing
with injuries and some of their starters were injured.

Under existing measurements Fresno State QUALIFIED for a Bowl. End of story! The fact that FSU had a mediocre season and once again failed to win the WAC is another indication that Pat Hill's "anybody, anytime" mentality, while admirable, has had it's run and is just never going to produce the results he (not to mention us poor fans) wants. To hell with beating the BCS. Lets go back to baby steps and win the damn WAC!
