Hey, we all remember watching "The Waterboy" when Dan Fouts kept on saying Adam Sandler's team was laying it all on the line, not holding anything back and pulling out all the stops.
Then I think it was Al Michaels who just kept on getting annoyed.
Well, I need a win to get in the playoffs, and drastic times call for drastic measures. (Hey, this is a cliche-driven Fantasy Buzz today.)
So what, you might ask, did I do?
For the first time in Delton Lowery's history in fantasy football, I do NOT have a player from the Seattle Seahawks on my team. Find out who I've added to my roster that might help you out by reading on.
(IT'S LIKE I'M IN NEED OF TACKLIN' FUEL, AND CAPTAIN INSANO SHOWS NO MERCY!!!)
I did have Olindo Mare, who I got rid of for Joe Nedney, who I got rid of this week for Rian Lindell (Hey, he's a former Washington State University Cougars player, so at least I have some Washington in my team.) and Lindell is only owned in 55% of CBS Sportsline leagues.
Then yesterday I got rid of John Carlson (who had been stinking it up when Matt Hasselbeck was out, and I really don't want to see if he'll come around today against Dallas), and added another 49ers player in Vernon Davis and he's only owned in 36% of CBS Sportsline leagues.
I know Mike Singletary wants winners. And now that Davis and all of his teammates know that, San Francisco finally has some winning in it. Let's hope Buffalo's linebackers can't keep up with the highly-touted tight end.
Remember, it's win or go home. Gotta pull out all the stops. Time to lay it all on the line!
What have you resorted to in your bid to stay in the playoff hunt? Let us know on this blog or by e-mail to sports@fresnobee.com and you might see your comments in Sunday's edition of The Bee.
(TF Buzz note: Man, Julius Jones just fumbled and I almost added him. Good thing I didn't. And yes, I've touted Justin Gage but he's on my bench and I'm going back to Lee Evans and Steve Breaston plus Eddie Royal, who I have to monitor because we hear he's dinged up.)
