The Fantasy Buzz: Gage your WR corps

OK, yesterday we talked about adding a player that hasn't had much fantasy worth before they have a breakout week and the bandwagon rushes to add that player.

I have added Kenneth Darby because of the injury situation to Steven Jackson, and even picked up Samkon Gado in case something happens to Darby. Well, that might've been a bit premature because it looks like Antonio Pittman will get the start. But at least we advised two things: 1. Don't start Darby against a tough Jets defense unless you absolutely had to, and 2. We added Gado in case something happens to Darby, but that rationale also works for both in case something happens to Pittman.

As for another of my situations, I talked about how I had added Selvin Young in case something happens to Ryan Torain, which it did. I also received Titans WR Justin Gage in the four-player trade, shipping Justin Fargas and Ricky Williams to an owner who needed RB help.

I hadn't planned on using Gage anytime soon, but have changed my mind. Gage is the Titans' top WR, and he's going up against the Bears' 30th-ranked pass defense. Well, Gage is playing for the second week after a knee injury, and hopefully that's enough time to have an impact.

Stay tuned.

By the way, I'm putting up and starting Gage at my Flex position over Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston, who's playing against the awful 49ers on Monday Night Football. Let's hope this doesn't come back to bite me.

gage isn't even the top target on his team for collins. that honor goes to bo scaife. furthermore, before this game collins has barely had to pass. they're a running offense.

breaston, on the other hand, plays in an offense that favors the pass, and even with a healthy boldin and fitzgerald he's getting good fantasy points.

and really, why are you playing any rams running back other than steven jackson? i'm a rams fan and know better than that. and you're picking up the back up of a back up of a back up in gado. what are you thinking? you're better off the corpse of ahman green.
