California First Lady Maria Shriver, after apologizing for talking illegally on the cell phone while driving, has been videotaped by celebrity Web site TMZ.com illegally parking her Cadillac Escalade in a red zone in Santa Monica. Note to Maria: If they are following you around with a camera, stop doing dumb things that you'll have to apologize for.
And on cue, here's her latest apology: "I regret I made a mistake. I take responsibility for it."
Poor Maria. Thanks to TMZ, she'll have to obey the law like the rest of us. And you think it's easy being rich and famous?
If the governor knows what's good for him, he won't mention that little parking problem when he gets home for dinner tonight. Besides, I think we can all agree that Maria has suffered enough.
Ms. Shriver's behavior is common for the ruling class, who like the police, feel that they are above the law. Laws are to control the rest of us sheep. A casual review of Congress always reveals the same sort of arrogance. We have worshipped the god called Democracy, thinking that it keeps leaders humble. It does not. Rather, it rewards those who can best manipulate the citizenry.
Maybe America will grow up one day and see the light. I think it is time for another revolution, although I pray it will be peaceful.
Da Kennedy's don't have to follow rules like us peons, they are better than that!
What I can see myself, hear and see on television and newspaper, the peons are not following the rules so well either. The overcrowded jails are testimony for that . Fortunately, the news hounds are not interested in us peons. hahaha!
Isabell..right again! I have struggled all my life to avoid fame as to not be subject to parasites like TMZ but choosing the lesser of two evils is,at best, difficult between TMZ and the Kennedy's.I think the new term for driving while using a cellie should be "Pulling a Maria" and in closing suggest, "Fellow bloggers... Beware!...here a camera ,there a camera, everywhere a camera camera".
I have to agree Isabell. We see people breaking laws everyday, it just doesn't make the news.
When I first saw this story about her parking on the red....apparently for quite a long time, I had to laugh.
The Kennedys think they can get aweay with anything and they do. When you are in a position such as her you have to be aq bit more discreet and law abiding.
TMZ is a funny show. Tidbits of useless information of what the rich and famous do. The main purpose of the show is to catch these celebrities in awkward or embarrassing situations. Sorry, after one viewing of TMZ, I flipped the station. It's just too normal seeing Maria Shriver using her cell phone while driving, Britney Spears going into McDonald's, or photos of Hasselhoff blitzed!
Since all the State of California accounts are in the red and stacked all over her hubbies desk, it is possible that the color red didn't seem out of the ordinary and she simply didn't notice the red zone... right?....
