The Sacramento Bee's Capitol Alert and the Los Angeles Times are reporting that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger may have put an obscene phrase in a veto message that targeted a San Francisco Assembly member who had earlier jeered the governor.
"The phrase, 'F--- You,' is spelled out by the first letter of seven consecutive lines along the left margin," says the Times. The governor's press secretary said it must have been a "strange coincidence."
Schwarzenegger did not sign a bill by Assembly Member Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco, that would have helped the Port of San Francisco make pier improvements. Ammiano had ridiculed the governor when Schwarzenegger dropped by a Democratic fundraiser that was near an event he was attending.
The Sacramento Bee says Ammiano "reportedly greeted the governor's surprise stop at a Democratic fundraiser with 'You lie!' and 'Kiss my gay ass' just days before the bill got axed."

It seems the governor decided to play "hide the birdie" in his veto message. Maybe Schwarzenegger did this to take the heat off his wife, Maria Shriver, who has been in trouble lately because she was caught talking illegally on the cell phone while driving and parking her Cadillac Escalade in a red zone.
'Kiss my gay ass' Accredited to Assembly Member Tom Ammiano; is that litererary English; California mode of expression?

I sure would like to see those seven lines. I don't think the Terminator is smart enough.
Isabell,
You can see those seven lines on the KMJ website. And the phrase is there alright. Really hard to believe it is just coincidence.
Well, he is after all a "Democrat"!
WHO CARES ?????
BFD
I found the website, and I learned two things. How to spell the f word and the incongruity of the California legislature just using plain pieces of paper (no official letterhead or anything of the sort) to defeat bills (proposed legislation.) How do they keep track of anything? Informal style politics is one thing, but little snips of paper for making and breaking laws, that's ridiculous.
Ha! Well if that's intentional it took a lot of thought. How funny. Wish I'd thought of it.
I don't think the ex-Austrian thought of it either. The feel of the language just is not right. But someone thought of it and it is on a plain piece of paper....very unofficial and not anything gubernatorial.
Ammiano will have to mark the spot he wants kissed because it sounds like he's "All Ass".Why are he and Grayson from Florida not being called out by Democrat leadership or the media?Hmmm, stupid of me to even ask the question.
HA! I don't know if it was intentional or not. If not, what an amazing coincidence. If so, then I am impressed by how clever it was. To bad I never thought of doing something like that myself. Who would even notice such a thing! If that much thought were put into some of California's critical issues, we'd be out of the red and overflowing with water by now.
You know, I was thinking, if Ammiano can't take the one-ups-man-ship of Arnold's secret message then he's just a girlie man.
Wait...I don't understand why Ammiano or Grayson should be called out by the Democratic leadership for something Arnold did.....help.
Isabell didn't know how to spell the "f" word?
Scotty...you're right...no need to be called out for acceptable Democrat behavior and Arnold is basically a lefty so I guess no one needs to be called out...I retract my statement...Dems,carry on as usual...your base has no problem with this.
"Isabell didn't know how to spell the "f" word?"
Incredible! How careless of me, this Austrian (academe) immigrant to have failed to familiarize with American gutter language. One would never have guessed such ignorance judging from the usual tone and tenor of my English diction. But I know how to spell IDIOT. hahaha!
Ok Brian, before I read your recent post there, it struck me while trick or treating with my girls, I realized that you might be talking about Ammiano getting slapped for his comments instead of what Arnold did. Gee, how did I not figure that out before? It must be that empty headed elitist in me.
As for Grayson, I didn't even know who that is so I went reading up on him. He sounds to me like the liberal counterpart to Rush Limbaugh. And neither one of them has a place in politics. Grayson should just do a radio show. He'll make more money and get to say whatever he wants. You can't do that when you're in Congress. Hey maybe he'll want to buy a football team.
Isabell, when I have trouble spelling a word I just sound it out.
Scotty...I finally went back and saw what the hubbub is all about with Arnold's reply. It seems intentional and I find it as disgusting a behavior as that displayed by Ammiano and Grayson. It shows a lack of character and I am remorseful that I voted for this fake. You are right about Grayson... he is more suited for "Air America"...are they still around? Are your kids sharing their goodies with you...my personal favorite is Twix...the greatest candy bar ever invented.
Lucky for me they don't like Reese's, so I get all of those.
Twix.....with the cookie crunch. A very funny Seinfeld episode comes to mind.
