The nation's health care system needs to be reformed, but Congressional Democrats are going about it the wrong way. These political miscues have damaged President Barack Obama's effectiveness and it could be a big bonus for Republicans in next year's mid-term elections.

In the English language it has been established that haste makes waste. My native tongue is chockfull of saw, proverb and homily as well. "GOOD DING WILL WEILE HABEN" meaning; to accomplish good things takes time. By now; only the well heeled protected insist that our health care is just fine. Why can't we overcome political strife and and buckle down to create an acceptable health care system for America. Many believe that Democrats and Republicans can't hardly be told apart anymore, except for the extreme right wing factions. And they are not really rejecting the health care reform per se, they are gunning for Barack Obama, the president. Their spreading panic and misinformation like death panels etc.. seems to stampede congress into actions equally scary and certainly counterproductive. That's what I think.
The way Obama botched up the Democrats' Healthcare plan, it can only be saved over a beer summit
I think I need a beer.
I too realize that we cannot continue to endanger life and limb of millions of Americans because they have neither the money for medical care direct , nor have any opportunity (for whatever reasons) to have a commercial insurance health plan. But at this point I would not venture a guess as to what is going to happen or what the Obama administration is going to do about it.
But (as relief from the seriousness of the plight,) may I mention my observation that the Obama administration is initiating a culture of respectable beer drinking. hahaha! So milk move over.....hahaha! What about water? Well; we are getting short of that. And to those who have the sense of humor of a pismire (ant), I can only say....actually.... nothing I want to say. I have invented a defensive pseudonym for myself. (hahaha) .

no name in self-preservation ha! lol Is there a computer-lingo super lol?
In 1940-60 Democrats in this valley shared the vision of a region that was to become an agricultural powerhouse. The party leaders then that supported legislation for new construction of water infrastructures could not get elected today. What you see now is not the same party it was, I don't know why they continue to use the brand.
Bart-
You are so correct. My first presidential vote was for George Mc Govern. After the Nixon/ Watergate fiasco I could have very well been a life-long Democrat had they not become drunk with power. However, after Watergate the Democrats became increasingly liberal and today demonstrate very little connection to reality at the state and national level. Perhaps this health care fiasco and bail-out mania will result in a resurgence of the more practical members of the party- it will certainly be a cathartic next coupe of years for them.
