On Sunday, opponents of gay marriage also will hold a rally at City Hall. That event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. That rally is called "Still Standing in the Middle for Marriage." The Rev. Jim Franklin, pastor of Cornerstone Church in downtown Fresno , and former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry are scheduled to speak.

Dear Courage Member--
We need to meet.
All of us. At 1 p.m. this Saturday, May 30.
In Fresno, the heartland of California.
Four days after the state Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8, thousands of people organized by more than 100 organizations are coming together in a major event unlike any other in the post-Prop 8 era.
We know the people whose lives are on the line -- those who identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender -- will be there. But we need everyone there.
Especially straight people.
Everyone.
It's called "Meet in the Middle for Equality" and it's going to be historic. This will be a moment you don't want to miss -- an unforgettable event in the history of the movement for equal rights.

Why Fresno?

To my chagrin I have to ask, who is Charlize Theron (Oscar winning actress?) But obviously she is not alienating everyone, as Mr. Morgan claims. But I believe I am correct in my presumption that people are tired of his hateful un-Christian secular rhetoric and verbose Bible thumping.
How "hardworking an American" are you? Mr. Morgan. Flooding the beehive with posts is not hard work. Sir; aren't you tired of setting yourself up for censorious words like mine. Because I can assure you, as a Christian martyr you don't qualify, however hard you may convince yourself of being one.

The time has been inaccurate and almost meaningless for awhile now. I've seen 1pm posts labeled with 4pm times based on the fact that those typically unnecessary responses were directed toward a specific comment made by me within minutes. The blog may require an auditor.
Beehive, I complimented Mr. Morgan on his sense of humor at 12:04 PM, and he imparted his humor at 1:04 PM, but it is not even 1:00 PM as of this moment. Adieu! So long! until your damn quantum whatever is fixed.
I will be at the rally. We law-abiding, taxpaying, gay Americans are sick and tired of having our rights voted away by others. We won fair and square at the Supreme Court in 2008 and yet, our rights our put up to a vote by those seeking to impose their religious beliefs on the rest of us. No other minority is forced to fight over and over for its rights.
As a Christian gay man, I know that our loving God is on the side of justice. We may lose a battle or two but we will win this culture war forced on us by those promoting the anti-gay agenda. We will no longer sit quietly and watch unrepentant homophobes try to destroy our families. We will never give up until we achieve the equality promised under our Constitution. Time is on our side. We shall overcome!

God's language is as multiform as there are human hearts and ears to receive it. But let it happen in "...thy closet..." Christians shall find this admonishment in the Gospel of Matthew.

Yes, I Mrs. Isabell Lawson still believe that the subject is far too complex and sensitive to be argued in a newspaper advertising blog, by people who are more or less not informed on the subject which constitutes the very existence, the very lives of fellow citizens. But I concede that blogging is far superior to doing actual harm to people; physical and spiritual.
I had not known who the actress was before her picture was published. I must say that she is a very good looking lady. But I think Mr. Franklin is a homely guy. Why are there no photos of good looking anti homosexulals in the Fresno bunch that demonstrated?
Soooo ... now a person's worth is based on whether or not they are "good looking"?
and whether they are rich or not.
