Here's one way of knowing that the open primary is a good idea for California: The Democrats and Republican parties will be opposing it when it's on the ballot next year. If the parties oppose it, that means it's good for California and bad for those who wallow in partisanship.
The two major parties on California are scared to death of the open primary because it will diminish their impact on running the state. And the special interests that control the the parties will be putting millions of dollars into the campaign to defeat the open primary.
In today's column in the Vision section of The Fresno Bee, I discuss this in more depth. You can read the column by clicking here.
It's time for taxpayers to take control over California. I need to read more about it but if open primaries is one way to get there, then I'm all for it. We should not stop there however. Our votes are another way to voice what we want. If we don't take a stand now, after this debacle of a fiscal year, then we will deserve what we get.
Of course they would want to ptotect their turf. I would expect Jerry Brown to come out on the side of the people, the very people who cannot recognize a true blue California patriot.
Speaking of "trying to kill" the Bee has raw FPD video of a robbery and assault of what appears to be an elderly individual without any available comment section. Double Standard?
Are you referring to former Governor Moonbeam as a true blue California patriot?
