Something to do on Sunday

I see by all the papers that there's some big football game this weekend. I can't stir up much enthusiasm; for some reason I began to lose interest in professional football a few years ago, and it's just about plumb gone now.

I have found that Super Sunday is a great time to go to stores and other places that are normally crowded on the weekend. A few years ago, I went to the Home Depot near Blackstone and Herndon during game time. The lot was nearly empty; I parked right by the front door. I walked in, found my item, paid for it, walked out and was driving away 10 minutes after I got there. Sublime.

The really good news is that when the game is over Sunday, it'll only be 19 days until pitchers and catchers report for spring training. I can't wait.

I just like to go be with my friends. I also lost most interest in football a few years ago but will watch a game every now and then. I find its a good time for a chair nap.

If one lost interest in football, why can't one wait for pitchers and catchers report for training? Since I was never interested; I have no idea what pitchers and catchers are doing. What to do on Sunday? Anything except watch those science fiction looking apparitions do whatever it is they are doing. Maybe I'll play ping pong, or scan the posts for more insults and name-calling. hahaha!

Russ...you went to Home Depot during the Super Bowl? I'm picturing that lady in the commercial, completely alone, dead quiet, mixing her own paint, driving the forklift, hopping over the counter to work the register...

I took my wife out to "A Movie and Dinner" and was home in time for halftime..."That's why Women want me and Men want to be me".
