My heart is pounding, hands tremble and am just agog at what wondrous news will come at 10AM.
Have a pile of adult nappies piled near chair, as MOI is sure to soil self.............Oh, The Drama................it is almost too much to bear.
I think Scharton was an excellent choice. I've read of lot of his comments on downtown development both here and on the Mindhub, and he has a rare combination of passion, knowledge, experience, and the ability to communicate his ideas. I think he'll do a good job.
(It's just too bad Autry didn't appoint him 8 years ago when he could have gotten something done during the recent real estate boom that came and went with mediocre results downtown-wise.)
Mr. Scharton has little to worry about the allegation of (he) having been involved in the Operation Rezone scandal. I understand that he had not been charged with a crime.
And anyhow, the one who has (and served time) came out smelling like a rose, having an important job with a local home builder/developer. I have no first hand knowledge that crime does not pay, but I know that honesty is great for paupers.
And judging by the beehive posts, Ms Swearengin is not exactly the most popular and celebrated mayor of Fresno I have encountered in the 56 years I have been around. And as for the time element...I find it weird that something from a week ago is still with future tense buzzing around the beehive.
