Ohio falls to Obama

CNN and NBC are predicting that Barack Obama will carry Ohio. No Republican has ever won the presidency without taking that state. Things are getting grimmer for John McCain.

The grimmer the better for McCain. Thanks for the good news, thanks GW!

Next up for Obama...CA, CO, OR , WA, IA, and FL to close wih 316 electoral college votes...

Obama just took the lead in Virginia. So awesome!

I have an ignorant question. Who gets Biden's Senate seat when he becomes VP?

This is from the Wall Street Journal:

If Obama wins, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, also a Democrat, would appoint a replacement for Obama in the U.S. Senate until the next congressional election, in 2010. The governor isn't obligated to appoint another Democrat, but it's highly likely he'd want to choose a replacement from his same party.

It's a similar situation with Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del. The governor would appoint a replacement to serve for two years, until the next congressional election, if voters choose Biden as Obama's vice president. . . .

If he gets the vice presidential nod, though, Democrats must hope that the state's current governor will act fast to appoint a replacement for Biden in the Senate. Gov. Ruth Ann Minner, a Democrat, leaves office on Jan. 20. Residents of Delaware are also voting for a new governor on Tuesday -- and it's unlikely that a Republican would appoint a Democrat for Biden's Senate seat.

Obama has a sizable lead in Colorado. I am surprised since it has such an evangelical climate to it in many parts. Maybe, I am just generalizing the culture of Colorado Springs to the entire state.

Thanks, Jim.

Lesser thanks, Travis, for trying to make me do work.

I was just too lazy to read it. Thanks, Jim for being smart...

I just finished reading it and Jim is right...

Obama looks good in VA, but NC and IN are not looking so super anymore. Now it's just a matter of how big Obama's win will be.

It is going as I expected although not the way I wanted it to but hey I voted and thats all I could do. I vote but lost interest in the whole system the first time I voted when I was 18. As I was standing in line to vote they were already declaring the winner telling me my vote didn't count.

Where is TC reading, scripture?

It's so over!!!
