Fresno County elections officials report a voter turnout of 71.87% on Nov. 4. The final turnout calculation could not be reported until all the ballots, including absentees and provisionals, had been counted. That was completed on Wednesday, according to County Clerk Victor Salazar.
The final count shows President-elect Barack Obama taking the county by 5,649 votes out of 275,144 cast for president. Salazar said the final county will be certified on Tuesday.

JOHN MCCAIN REP 130,841 47.92%
RALPH NADER PF 1,910 0.70%
BOB BARR LIB 911 0.33%
ALAN KEYES AIP 808 0.30%
CYNTHIA MCKINNEY GRN 608 0.22%
Write-in Votes 1,490.55%
