Someone stole your yard sign? Get a bigger canvas

My Clovis neighborhood is not a Democratic area, but there are a few Obama yard signs between the flood of those supporting #8. While walking my dogs a few nights ago I spotted a young woman in a sweat suit with blonde hair driving a black Ford Expedition. She jumped out and ran across the lawn to where a good size Obama sign was posted. She tore the Obama sign off its post, threw the pieces in her car, and speeded away! Trying to control my dogs who were agitated by the way she brushed past us, I was too preoccupied to read her license plate. Is this what democracy has been reduced to? I am ashamed that she and I belong to the same Republican Party. I choose to cast my vote and this woman chooses a low down sabotage and dirty tricks strategy. She has set me thinking about how I should cast my vote next Tuesday.

A friend of mine is the only person in her neighborhood with an Obama sign and a No on 8 sign in a sea of McCain and Yes on 8 signs. Her signs have been stolen so many times, she painted the inside of her windows with poster paint to look like the signs she keeps losing. Her neighbors have told her it was a dumb thing to do because she will get a rock thrown through her window. I wonder if they were giving her good advice or a warning.

I agree with the above comment this behavior is a discrace of course so is the Republican party as we know it today.

I don't care what sign it is, stealing is stealing.

They should be caught, and reported.

It is not just Republicans that are exibiting this disgraceful behavior. People from all parties are acting ridiculous. I don't put anything past these criminals to break windows or even burn houses. They are clearly out of their minds. It is freedom of speech which has been given to us and some have not learned how to respect every persons right to it.

It's definitely people on both sides. It's almost over.

I like the lawn painting. It reminds me of a Super Bowl party we did several years back when the Raiders played Tampa Bay...against their former coach Gruden no less. We painted the lawn in the back yard with stripes and yard markers and put a big Raider logo in the middle. Too bad the Raiders didn't show up for the game.

HA! Well what can I say...I've been a Raider fan since growing up down in Orange County and L.A. Back in the days of Fred Biletnikoff, (I was a receiver) Lester Hayes and his gooey stickum hands. In fact he's the reason why the NFL banned stickum. Lyle Alzado, Ted Hendricks, Howie Long, Marcus Allen. I could go on. Naturally my brother and I were happy when the Raiders came to L.A. We had season tickets.

Like I say....guilty. And now they're...ummm...in transition...coughsuckcough. :)
