Wow...why am I not surprised by that?
My friends and I have had and do have political/religious discussions at bars, but I'd certainly never get into it with a stranger or new acquaintance at said bars.
You should not be surprised. When women go sour, they are worse than men. More violent, and more vulgar in speech. Some of what we heard in parkinglots could make a construction worker blush.
a woman with a dirty mouth turns me on.

Concerning your libido, my hubby, the ex-construction man, says "to each his own."
Shame on the Bee for publishing a letter such as this. Nolan did not witness who started the fight. His account of how the fight started is complete heresay, and would not even be allowed in a court of law. Since this brawl will likely end up in court, it was unprofessional for the Bee to publish any Letter to the Editor, that convicted anyone of guilt. If there was a story here, why didn't the Bee send a reporter out to cover it. As is, there is no way to even authenticate this brawl took place. When criminal charges are involved, you would think the Bee would be more cautious than this.
In my opinion, this was just another cheap shot aimed at the Yes on 8 supporters.
Sorry, Redpeach, but you aren't making sense. Letters to the editor don't have to satisfy the rules of evidence in court proceedings. If they did, very few would ever be published. And what about the letter writer's freedom of speech? I thought you guys were all worried about that. Or is it just the freedom to speak out against homosexuality that you care about?

Well which one is it? Did or didn't the brawl take place? If you're claiming there's no way to authenticate the brawl took place, why are you concerned with the criminal charges?
Recently, the Bee reported that due to high election interest, they were overloaded with Letters to the Editor to print. I say it was poor judgement to choose Nolan's letter to publish. With an overload of choices, I am certain there were letters with more substance, and more worthy of publication. This one did not cut the mustard, and was a cheap shot at the Yes on 8 position.
