Get organized in 2008

I don't tend to make formal New Year's resolutions. But once the chaos of Christmas has cleared, a big focus for me always seems to turn to catching up on tasks I've neglected and getting my home (and desk) back into some kind of order.

Here's a good article on the subject that ran a couple of days ago in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

At my house, we're off to a good start. Yesterday we got all of our Christmas decorations taken down. All the empty boxes from Christmas presents have been moved into the garage for recycling. And my girls spent a good part of yesterday working on decluttering their bedroom.

flylady_cartoon.jpgAs the Journal Gazette article notes, most of us have way too much stuff in our lives. My favorite Web site for learning how to better manage our stuff is FlyLady.net. The approach of FlyLady, Marla Cilley, literally changed my life after I found her Web site in 2001.

FLYing lessons can guide you through babysteps to help you set up routines, get rid of your clutter, and put your home and life in order. FlyLady's approach has worked for thousands.

If getting more organized is on list of things to do, you might want to check out FlyLady.net. And I'd love to hear any suggestions you've found that help you make your life less chaotic or disorganized.

Thanks Lisa I went to the website and it is awesome. I will get started as soon as I return from vacation on Monday. I always thinkn I have to do it in one day which is impossible but now I can do it.
