arrow"Halo: Reach" draws about 100 for midnight release

With reporter Bethany Clough on another assignment today, here's an update on her blog post from Monday about Best Buy's Fresno release party for "Halo: Reach":

The video game sensation "Halo: Reach" attracted nearly 100 customers to the game's midnight release party Monday at Fresno's Best Buy store, according to Mickey Arechiga, one of the store's managers.

Arechiga said fans of the game began lining up outside the store at the River Park shopping center at about 8:30 p.m. in anticipation of the latest edition of the "Halo" franchise.  Officials report they sold 95 copies of the game during the special overnight hours.

The frenzy was short-lived, however.  Business was back to normal this morning at the store, Arechiga said.
