arrowJon Stewart takes on Sean Hannity over Ca water

More evidence that California's water wars have gone mainstream...

Earlier this month we reported on Sean Hannity's visit to the west Valley, where in a live broadcast on Fox News he chided Barack Obama, the federal government and "radical environmentalists" for slowing exports from the delta to protect fish.

Last night, Comedy Central's Jon Stewert offered a rebuttal, including this jab referencing the federal government's historical role in building the reservoirs that feed Valley farms: "The government should stop meddling in the business of the farmers who would actually still be living in the desert if not for government meddling."

Poor John, the left still can't understand why the ratings at Fox are so high. They just don't believe there is anything there. He isn't a surrogate for Feinstien is he?

Sean Hannity is an IGNORANT BAS**RD that knows nothing about the problem and should keep his mouth shut before someone shuts it permanently for him. He is not a journalist, he's just a mouthpiece for the crazy wing-nuts. Hannity needs to stay out of this and stop using it as an excuse to bash the current Administration. You lost, get over it. JON Stewart is the only person in the media these days with the ability and willingness to call attention to the serious hypocrisy of the tea-birthing wing-nut repugnicans. And he doesn't claim to be a journalist, like the others do. He just shows the truth and calls "Bulls**t" when appropriate. If any of these morons would actually turn off Faux News and look for those things called FACTS, they would see they are being lied to by those who are bought and paid for by the very industries that got us into this mess in the first place. The Delta situation is about more than fish - it's about our environment - which we need to LIVE, jobs (like the fishermen affected by this), and water. Get your selfish heads out of your butts and think about the bigger picture. Farmers get lots of subsidies from the gov't they hate so much. They'll be fine.

WOW now thats a news source. Comedy Central?? Sorry but I think I would rather watch Fox. The "Fringe Media" consisting of ABC,CBS,and NBC should start watching too so next time they hear something important like ACORN or the water situation they won't be SCOOPED

Carol you appear to be the twin ignorant basta d of that moron stewart or horowitz. He seems to be embarrassed by his real name or maybe it's his parents who are embarrassed? Neither of you two have had a cohesive or coherent thought in your lives, clean out the cobwebs in your never used orifice.

It's not news, it's opinion, folks. Stewart and Hannity are not reporters, they're pundits, and the difference is Stewart doesn't pretend otherwise. The point, however, is still true even if people who want the water to go to farmers don't want to admit it: If it weren't for the federal government, there wouldn't be any water to fight over in the first place! It really is that simple. This is like some Tea-bagger screaming for government to keep its hands off his Medicaid. Yeah, that's fine, but both Medicaid and the Federal Bureau of Land Management are "the government" and they're the reason you whiners have something to whine about in the first place. Get it?
