arrow$850k question touched a nerve

HALlogo.gifI asked Wednesday if you thought $850,000 was too much for getting the public involved in cleaning up the San Joaquin Valley's air. Your response was wonderful.

There were nine comments -- a new one-day record for the Smog Blog. One person objected to the expense.

But eight people supported the idea. Some were enthusiastic. Many folks wrote several paragraphs. Bart Lee had a brief but vivid response:

"I agree, $850k is a ridiculous amount of money for that purpose. It should be double. Have you LOOKED outside lately?"

Thanks. You all helped. A more detailed story is tentatively scheduled to publish in Saturday's Bee.

Comments:

I enjoy driving down Bullard towards Clovis and being able to SEE THE MOUNTAINS. It was incredible. Reminded me a lot of Oregon -- didn't last long though before the SMOG layer was back. :(
