Former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry and Clovis City Council Member Lynne Ashbeck might get a slap on the wrist for accepting political gifts with values over the legal limit.

While mayor, Autry accepted a $644 gift, which exceeds the $360 limit in place in 2005, according to the Fair Political Practices Commission, the state's political watchdog. He faces a $654 fine.

Ashbeck faces a $310 fine for taking a $400 gift, which is $40 above the limit in place in 2005. The commission does not list who gave the gifts.

The commission will rule on the fines at a meeting on Feb. 19.
