Wondering what to buy your discerning -- make that picky -- teen?
How about a new phone? One that will make all his/her friends drool. The Web site thehottestgadgets.com offers up a list of the top 25 on the market. Tops on the list? The iPhone 3G.
Some are a little pricey.
AT&T sent a list of text-centric phones all for less than $100: Pantech Matrix, Samsung Propel, Pantech Slate and AT&T Quickfire.
Here's the pitch: "All four new mobile phones feature full QWERTY keypads, allowing everyone from newbie messengers to textaholics to send text, picture, video and instant messages with ease. The new phones allow customers to quickly and discreetly access all those useful letters and numbers."
QWERTY refers to a full keypad.
If that doesn't work, try digital video cameras. And says Bee columnist David Pogue "The bottom line: Get the Canon SD880 IS, if it's in stock."
