arrowWord on the Street -- safer pools and a new swap meet

kmart.jpg

This week's Word on the Street is up on the web site.

In this one: new safety regulations are keeping pool guys in business, a swap meet is planned for the former Kmart on Olive Avenue, there's a new pet sitting business in town and the shuttered Palm Lakes Golf Course is for sale.

Plans for the Kmart are generating some controversy. (The building is pictured at right as it was in 2002. Improvements on the exterior have already begun.)

Comments:

The guy quoted in the article who is against the swap meet deal comes off like a jerk. He all but used the phrase "those people" as if people who bargain sell/shop are some sort of untouchable caste.

I hope it succeeds.
