arrowBlackberry releases the Bold

By now, especially in tech-speak, this is old news (especially with the Stormblackberry_bold_black_l.gif right around the corner).

The Blackberry Bold is out. AT&T stores have reportedly had it for sale since election day.

Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of devices for AT&T's wireless operation, was impressed. "Quite simply, the BlackBerry Bold is the best BlackBerry smartphone ever," he said in a statement.

Oh yeah, you gotta go through his company to get one as it operates on AT&T's 3G wireless network.

Gina Pernetti, AT&T spokeswoman, sent me volumes of details.

Here's a selection: built-in aGPS, Wi-Fi® and a multitude of services and applications such as AT&T Navigator, YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile, selections from AT&T Mobile Music service -- XM Radio Mobile™ and MusicID - and popular video clips from its CV service.

There's also eBay, Wikimobile and SpamFilter. Games including Scrabble, NCAA Football 09 by EA Sports, World Series of Poker Pro Challenge, Tetris, Bejeweled and Tiger Woods 09 by EA Sports. Millions of full track songs available from Napster Mobile® in addition to tens of thousands of ringtones.
