The Farm Bureau isn't endorsing in the race for the District 5 seat on the Fresno County Board of Supervisors, but that isn't stopping candidate Nathan Magsig from revealing he has support from local farmers.

Magsig is circulating a press release announcing a new part of his campaign committee -- farmers for Magsig.
The Clovis City Council Member says he has been endorsed by several area farmers including Mark Thompson, Russell Efird, the Dunbar family and others.

His opponent in the race, community activist and businesswoman Debbie Poochigian, grew up and worked on her family's farm. She said she's the only candidate to receive an endorsement from a farming organization -- the Nisei Farmers League.

She also said she has the support of "hundreds" of farmers. Said Poochigian: "The names wouldn't even fit on a press release".
