Dennis Pollock seeks Prosperity at Ag Show
A lot of people come to the World Ag Expo looking for prosperity. I set out looking for Prosperity, the off-ramp that would take me to the Preferred Outlets and a park and ride bus to get me to the farm show grounds.
But the dreaded fog made that no simple matter.
It brought southbound traffic to a crawl on stretches from Selma to Avenue 304.
Thankfully, a semi flipped its hazard lights on to slow traffic as a CHP car passed to respond to reports of a non-injury pileup that delayed things.
As we traveled past Visalia, a big red ball -- the sun -- appeared in the sky ahead as a sign Tulare, 9 miles.
Within minutes that sun was a white ball, and now the fog is burning off.
Hey, this is nothing compared to past farm shows that were mired in mud, whipped by wind or baking in high temps.
Prosperity got me here. Now I'll see if I can find prosperity.
