Home!
I love my house.
I love my refrigerator. And my FLAT, smooth, wood floors. I love running water.
And reliable cell phones (as opposed to temperamental satellite phones).
And I love having a keyboard at my fingertips.
In other words, I am home and I can finally, finally put on this blog all the things I've been scribbling about over the past eight days.
Do I ever have stories to tell ...
Sorry for the delay. When they say wilderness, they really mean it. Things didn't go as planned.
But did I mention I'm home?!!
And I'm writing as fast as I can.
And I have stories to tell.
Between fits of sleep and moments of recovery, Diana is translating her journals from soggy notebooks to computer files. Check out her tales on her blog page.

Hello. I was reading your blog and was curious about the problems you were having with your satellite equipment. I would like to hear about that.

I never get a good night's sleep when camping out; maybe because my brain's afraid I'll miss something out there.

Hooray!! Home is good. But home can be anywhere you feel comfortable. I hope this is not the end of your adventures in wilderness. As a fellow named Muir observed; "We all need the tonic of wilderness." I can't wait for your stories. I can more than imagine what they will be like. Now, go have another cold soda.

Hey website people! Why are her other blog entries so hard to find? This is good stuff... too bad you're hiding it.

Every reporter has their own page on this site where you can see all of their entries in one place. Diana's is here:

[plus, we linked to it in her entry above]
Sorry for the confusion

I had full confidance that your trip would be successful and hopefully fun...(this from a guy who's idea of camping is "roughing it" at a Fairfield Inn)
Can't wait to read the posts...welcome home! David

A BIG thanks to you and the team. I had nearly forgotton about the breathtaking beauty of the high country. Because of your team's activities and your amazing reports, my wife and I took a ride to Tuolumne Meadows last Sunday. AWESOME!

See, it wouldn't be an adventure without a little water. It wouldn't be a mountain unless someone fell down it from time to time. And it wouldn't be home unless you missed it while sitting in a cold mountain steam.
You made it. Bruised, battered, swollen, but you made it. Hurrah!
