You know how it is when you find something you love and instantly you want everyone you know to love it, too? Here is a list of things the Beehive is into at this very moment. We invite you to share your obsession in the comments.
Heather: My current obsession is sitting in front of the computer every Thursday morning with a giant cup of coffee (or three), reading "Lost" recaps. Watching the show is nice, but I don't really understand what the hell I've seen until someone explains it to me in patient detail. I like Entertainment Weekly's recap because it's pretty comprehensive, but I also like to read Best Week Ever's recap for the humor. Also hilarious are the "Totally Lost" videos EW's Doc Jensen does -- they're funny enough to make you forget that you're a dweeb for watching them in the first place.
Mike Oz: OK, so my obsession is kinda lame. Are you ready for this? Solitaire. For some reason I downloaded a solitaire app on my iPhone last week and since then I've done nothing but try to get all those stupid cards in their stupid stacks, separated by suit, in the right order. It's actually quite hard. Harder than the version that comes with every PC. I guess the cool thing about playing solitaire all the time is that I can say I'm referencing that one computer in each episode of The Office" that has solitaire open.
Felicia: I've never been a regular cell phone user (wouldn't even turn it on most of the time), but I'm obsessed with my new Samsung Propel. (BTW, it's the one featured in the ad with a mumbling Ozzy Osbourne texting people because no one understands him.) I didn't want to go the whole hog smartphone route. Just wanted something to make texting easier with a full keyboard. But now I'm exploring all its features, like taking photos and texting them to folks (which I never did with my previous cell phones). And I have my phone on all the time now. Next up: Downloading music.
Will: Facebook ... finally. Still not sure how all those apps work, and I'm not sure I wanna know. But more and more of my old friends keep popping up there, so I find my time being spent on the site more than MySpace now. It's got a bunch of neat, little features that keep me interested, such as the super-easy chat function and the somewhat-creepy-yet-totally-helpful People You May Know rotator. Not to mention the running scroll of everything my people are up to and what they've posted. One beef, though, is I'm not sure I want non-friends to know my business. I made my profile private (sorry, for personal use only), but I get the impression people can still see what I'm doing because I'm learning all sorts of TMI about other "private" (or rather, outside-my-network) people. This uneasiness is preventing me from what I expect would be fully enjoying the Facebook experience. So I'm still wading through it.
