There’s a quality all-ages concert tonight (on a Monday!) at Fresno Brewing Co. on the Fulton Mall featuring L.A. band SISU.

Here’s the hook: SISU is a side project of Sandra Vu, who plays drum in Dum Dum Girls, an indie rock band signed to the famed Sub Pop record label. In SISU, Vu plays with another Dum Dum Girl, keyboardist Jules Medeiros, as well as guitarist Ryan Wood, drummer Nathanael Keefer and bassist Chris Stevens. The band’s music is dreamy and sparse, with gentle vocals backed by electro beats.

SISU is joined by two new-ish local bands: Natural Thrills and Double Jump. More info here.

This week’s Ozmosis episode introduces you to a number of fresh new artists, such as Cayucas (playing Saturday night at The Cellar Door), ZZ Ward, Sheppard, plus new local group Natural Thrills, who is the Tioga-Sequoia “Drink Local, Listen Local” band of the week.
