Tonight: Things to do, on all ends of town
A club in the sky, live music, beer glasses with mustaches and a rap dude a hookah lounge. Let the fliers below be your guide. For more, head to Post No Bills.

If you missed the part in yesterday’s post where I said Halloween-themed events were taking over this week, tonight’s rundown of happenings offers further proof:

The common thread around town tonight? Beach-themed parties … indoors. I suppose when you live in land-locked Fresno, you make due how you can. The fliers below have info on what’s happening at Karma Restaurant and Lounge and Ghaleb’s Hookah Lounge.
If live music is more your thing, then a good choice is heading over to Yosemite Ranch to catch Clouded Vision, whose reggae/rock sound will have you feeling like you’re at a beach bonfire. Flier below.
The two top choices for tonight:
YO GABBA GABBA: The live version of this beloved kids TV show is at Save Mart Center tonight. As we know, the Yo Gabba gang is pretty hip and has quite a few parents who dig it too. So expect some squealing from fans young and old.
FILTER: As I told you yesterday, alt-rockers Filter are at Starline. You probably know them from their ballad “Take A Picture,” but expect a much louder show tonight.
A few more choices below …
Tonight marks the start of a new local showcase — The Zen Factory at Crossroads.
Here’s what Zen Factory is all about, according to organizers Cloud 9 Productions:
Zen Factory is a weekly event that combines a wide audio spectrum of touring class Dj’s, Rock Band’s, and MC’s, blended smoothly together with intense visual laser light effects, inside an alcohol rich environment.
Thus producing a Sensory Enlightened Perception or a state of ZEN, found only at the all new Crossroads. (Makes you smile just reading the description doesn’t it?)
Tonight’s bill includes rock band Buffalo Guns, singer/songwriter Benjamin David, hip-hop act The Remedy and, on the turntables, DJ Roman.
Around the nightspots tonight: A bunch of the B95 DJs are hosting a Haiti fundraiser at North India Bar & Grill. Ghaleb’s has a “Stilettos & Curves” night. Roe has a chance to flaunt your celebrity status. And Audie’s has Robopop and DJ Leo performing for the launch of a new things-to-do-in-Fresno Web site.
‘Tis the night, Fresno, to celebrate Kris Kristofferson. If you didn’t know, the man himself is at the Tower Theatre. Last we saw a few tickets were still available for $46 a pop.
Afterward, hop over to Audie’s Olympic, which is hosting the afterparty with Fresno’s own Roger Perry, plus L.A. Americana/country band Dave Gleason and the Golden Cadillacs. (They’re good.) It’s free to get in.
