The Valley Performing Arts Council is working its magic again this weekend by partnering with a professional ballet company. And the production is a family-friendly show, so it’s perfect as a way to introduce kids to ballet. Selected school audiences will get a chance on Friday to see the new original ballet “The Jungle Book” presented by the State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara. On Saturday, there’s a 2 p.m. performance open to the public. The production features 20 professional dancers from the company dancing with 40 local Fresno Dance Theater student dancers. I’ll have more on the show in Friday’s issue of 7.
Meanwhile, I have FOUR tickets each to the Saturday matinee to give away to two separate Beehive readers. To enter, just leave a comment below telling us your favorite jungle animal. Deadline to enter is 2 p.m. Wednesday. Our winners will be chosen at random and notified via e-mail, so leave a real address. No multiple comments. You’ll be able to pick up your four tickets at the Saroyan Theatre. You are ineligible if you’ve won something in the past 30 days. Full rules on the jump.
Only readers who submit a comment on this post are eligible. To be eligible, a commenter must not have won a prize on FresnoBeehive.com in the previous 30 days. Multiple entries not allowed. Recipients will be notified by e-mail at the end of each giveaway period. No substitutions or transfer of winners/prizes. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Some prizes may have due dates for redemption/use. Employees and immediate family of The Fresno Bee, fresnobee.com and any/all of the participating giveaway sponsors, are not eligible to win.
