McGee snags a top internship at theater competition

Fresno State’s Matthew McGee, who competed Friday night at the Kennedy Center for a prestigious national acting title at the American College Theatre Festival in Washington, D.C., didn’t win the top prize. But he scored big anyway: McGee was awarded a paid nine-month internship with The Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, a top-notch professional company. The internship starts at the end of August and goes through June 2012. Added bonus: He’ll be there during the company’s 25th anniversary season.

Way to go, Matt!

The STC rocks, and pretty much guarantees Matt a series of gigs following the internship (if he doesn’t mess it up, and I’m guessing he absolutely won’t).

I agree – WTG Matt.
