‘American Idol’: any predictions?
Um, well (he says in a tiny, mouselike voice, as befitting a show that has somehow seemed to have gotten so much smaller this year), does anyone have anything to say about the remaining Top 5 contestants on “American Idol”? Is anyone still watching? Siobhan Magnus got the boot last night, and supposedly 33 million votes were cast, so “AI” still seems to be resonating with the public, but maybe it’s just a gaggle of 11-year-old girls voting 33 million times for tender sapling Aaron Kelly.
Who’s next to go? The big guy? The long-haired guy? The skinny guy? Will it come down to a battle between Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox? Or will the final episode just grind to a halt in an unbearable paroxysm of blandness? Here’s what the L.A Times Buzzmeter has to say. Any thoughts?

I don’t watch American Idol, but I’ll be so happy when it finally goes away for good. I hate how much space it takes up on entertainment sites. I check in with Entertainment Weekly a few times a day, and AI seems to dominate the homepage every single day.
I’m still watching, Crystal Bowersox is the ONLY one worthy of being there still.
It truly should have come down to her and Siobhan Magnus in the finale’.
The 78 11 year olds who vote 33 million times is whats wrong with the show.. and Always has been.
I quit watching a couple weeks ago. I don’t miss it. My prediction – the same as earlier this season when I was watching – none in this group will live up to the breakouts of the past couple years.
The judges & show are doing the same with Crystal as they did with Adam last year – pimping them, favored to win and its annoying. Crystal is overrated, Siobhan leaving was a mistake. It probably will comedown to Crystal and Lee and I hope Lee takes the title.
I haven’t watched this season. I’m waaaay over it. AI has gotten such a huge ego (the finale last year was completely ridiculous). It’s great that it hasn’t been the #1 rated show the last couple weeks. The mighty oak has fallen.
