1. TAKE A DIP, HEAR SOME TUNES
Seems like a good weekend for a pool party, right? Good, because it’s time for another of the Blue Lagoon parties at Sierra Sport and Racquet Club. Modeled after a Las Vegas pool party, it has booze and DJs, and is only for the 21+. This time, local band Clouded Vision plays too. [More]
2. ROCK & GO-KARTS
We’ve already given you a chance to win tickets to this weekend’s Rock Expo at Blackbeard’s. You can also read more about it in today’s Bee. Bottom line: 20 bands, various genres, arcade, mini golf, waterslides, etc. [More]
3. JOIN MY TACO REVOLUCION!
Remember when I had that taco release party at Revolucion Tequilia Bar & Cocina a few weeks ago? If you still wanna go try the taco, it’s on the menu through the end of the month, which means this weekend is your best bet. It’s called the Mango-Tango Bacon Taco with carnitas, a spicy mango-pineapple salsa and some crispy bacon on top of a homemade tortilla. People loved it. I hope you will too. We’ve already raised more than $600 for Children’s Hospital. Help me get that closer to $1,000. Photo below via Fresno Bites.
4. HAVE A ROCKIN’ WEEKEND AT AUDIE’S
The always-dependable Audie’s Olympic has a rockin’ weekend ahead: There’s rockabilly tonight with Gambler’s Mark (and more) and screaming-loud local band Cabin Fire on Saturday night. [More]
5. HAVE A SESSION SESSION
Increasingly popular local rock band Session has its EP release party at Starline tonight. They’re a band that’s found the rock sweet-spot between being too pop and too alternative, too hard and too soft. Running the Risk and Mercy Fists join them. [More]
