FresTube: ‘Long Live the Wild Hare’
We’re less than a month away from the premiere of “Long Live the Wild Hare,” the documentary about beloved (and fallen) Fresno rock station KRZR. The film — put together by ex-KRZR jock Rick Roddam and Fadeaway J Films — debuts at Tower Theatre on June 16. Get more info here and watch the newest trailer below. It features Chris Daniel and Jenn Lipp, among others.

It was a sad day when they changed formats. In my opinion KRZR was one of the best rock stations in California. I miss it so much especially after moving to Bakersfield which has no good rock station.
Before Satellite radio all stations had more fans.It was all about Z-ROCK back in my youth.
Radio stations had more fans before satellite radio and mobile music apps could be played through your car speakers.I do miss Z-Rock though..see if my comment makes it through this time. Was having problems signing on again through facebook, but figuered it out.
Yeah, Z-Rock was great…they totally lasted a couple months in Fresno. And almost nobody noticed Z-Rock was a…wait for it…nationally syndicated radio network based out of Dallas owned by ABC.
Long Live the Wild Hare!
Of course people knew that they were based in Texas…nothing rocked harder than that back then.It was well more than a couple of months that they were on air though…lol.I can still mention Z-Rock to people 35 and up and get a bigger smile than any other rock station, even for their short-lived air-time.
Tommy- I know it’s tough to pick up on sarcasm with your head so far up your posterior, but I know you’ll figure it out someday, buddy! Now, is there any chance you could go be fat and stupid on another post?
Remember, kids: Don’t feed the trolls – it makes them bloated with hubris…
Why do you think some of the traffic comes to beehive? You are the perfect excuse on how the best interaction takes place on this site.I liked Z-Rock while the Wild Hare played good songs too…don’t be a whiny little “bee”.The fact that someone wants people to flock to a movie about a radio station in FRESNO (Fresno’s lame enough) is funny to me.I suspect I’m not alone though we can hear ourselves echo in the lonely chamber of a site.LOL
And why are you addressing “kids” in the first place?masked handle in here with no photo and talking to kids in the Beehive..lol!Are they the main audience in here that I am not aware of?Kind of creepy.
I might add that you could have kept your mouth shut concerning me who you addressed or added to my input first…lol…me leave? How bout you leave?
I’m with Tommy. Z-Rock kicked ass. Truth is, you can’t tell the story of rock radio in Fresno without paying respect to Z-Rock and KKDJ (Breakfast Club with Dean and Don). This movie is about KRZR, but it’s also a time capsule of what it was like growing up as a Fresno rocker. We’ll talk about KKDJ and Z-Rock and the Front Row and concerts at the Cadillac Club and grown men beating each other with frozen fish.
